Premier Mark McGowan has proudly confirmed the State Government is making a record $11 million donation to Telethon, to honour Western Australia's bravest children and boost their health and wellbeing.

WA's sick kids and their families are at the forefront of the historic donation, which has been made on behalf of all Western Australians.

The record contribution includes a $4 million recurrent donation plus a one-off additional donation for 2022-23 of $5 million, as well as an injection of $2 million to the WA Child Health Research Fund (WACRF), which will deliver vital progress in the search for answers to improve little lives.

The McGowan Government has long been a proud and loyal supporter of Telethon and has a strong history of helping the Channel 7 Telethon Trust.

This year's donation builds on last year's contribution of $10 million, which was also a record.

The generous donation will enable Telethon to support almost 100 children's charities at grassroots level across WA to deliver equipment for children in hospital as well as critical services and programs for children living with disabilities.
